    Presented by: Yu-Ting C. Adler,

    Outreach Management and Program Analyst

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

This presentation will be submitted for 1 SHRM PDC and 1 HRCI credit hour.

Federal law requires that every employer who recruits, refers for a fee, or hires an individual for employment in the U.S. must complete Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Additionally, many employers also choose to use a free web-based program called E-Verify to ensure a legal workforce.  In this presentation, Yu-Ting will discuss some of the common mistakes we see on Forms I-9 and how to correct them. She will also provide an overview of E-Verify. Lastly, she will answer any question attendees may have regarding Form I-9 and employment verification using E-Verify.
