    This presentation will be submitted for 1 SHRM PDC and 1 HRCI credit hour.

    ERISA plans must have plan documents, yet many don’t. This session will include an overview of
    ERISA as well as discusses why plan documents are required, why they suck, and shares a horror story about not having them and discuss audits and penalities that can be assessed.


    Cory Jorbin is the Chief Compliance Officer for the West Region Employee Benefits team. Cory consults
    with employers of all sizes to design, implement and ensure the compliance of employee benefit
    plans with the Affordable Care Act, ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA and
    related matters. He actively presents nationwide on related topics before employer groups and
    professional associations. Cory uses his experience to assist clients with employee benefits issues
    that arise in connection with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. Cory enjoys
    finding creative and practical solutions to problems created by complex laws and regulations. He
    holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University and a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland State
    University. Cory is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois and is admitted to practice before the
    US Tax Court.

    Our reservations must be provided by noon on the Monday before the meeting. If you have made a reservation and cancel after this time, you will be charged for lunch. No shows will also be billed for lunch.  Registrations are nontransferrable/nonfundable.
